Jesus, we want to worship you! We praise Your holy name and ask that you would bless us as we worship You in spirit and truth. You are worthy and wonderful, Lord. Thank You for all that You are and for everything that is done on our behalf. We praise You and bless You, Lord. ??God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and truth.?? John 4:24

I do not undertake to say That literal answers come from Heaven, But I know this??that when I pray A comfort, a support is given That helps me rise o??er earthly things As larks soar up on airy wings. In vain the wise philosopher Points out to me my fabric??s flaws, In vain the scientists aver That ??all things are controlled by laws.?? My life has taught me day by day That it availeth much to pray. I do not stop to reason out The why and how. I do not care, Since I know this, that when I doubt, Life seems a blackness of despair, The world a tomb; and when I trust, Sweet blossoms spring up in the dust. Since I know in the darkest hour, If I lift up my soul in prayer, Some sympathetic, loving Power Sends hope and comfort to me there. Since balm is sent to ease my pain, What need to argue or explain? Prayer has a sweet, refining grace, It educates the soul and heart. It lends a lustre to the face, And by its elevating art It gives the mind an inner sight That brings it near the Infinite. From our gross selves it helps us rise To something which we yet may be. And so I ask not to be wise, If thus my faith is lost to me. Faith, that with angel??s voice and touch Says, ??Pray, for prayer availeth much.?? ?? Ella Wheeler Wilcox

You shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Acts 1:8 People can??t believe in Jesus If the gospel they don??t hear, So we must proclaim its message To the world- both far and near. -Sper Each and every one of us has the opportunity to share the gospel to people. No matter where we are, we can tell someone about the love of Jesus Christ. Who can you tell today? Any place is the right place to witness for Christ.

Our Christian lives never begin with what we must do, but rather what Jesus has already done. Being seated with Christ really is our starting place. Its is important to understand this because it means that everything in our lives begins from a place of rest. As we are still before the Lord we have no arguments, no opinions, and no challenges that we are presenting to Him that He doesn??t already know. We lay it all down, content with the knowledge that He is God all by Himself, and knows what is best for us. ??We are seated with Him.?? Ephesians 2:6 NLT

God so loved me that He gave Jesus for my sins to die; Jesus loved me in the grave, Jesus loves me still on high,-- Father-love and Saviour-love, Mine on earth and mine above! Love, from highest heights that stooped,-- Love, to deepest depths that came,-- Love, that 'neath my burden drooped,-- Bore my anguish and my shame-- Died, that I may never die,-- Living, lifts me to the sky! Love, the arm that reached me first,-- Love, the hand that raised me up,-- Love, my prison-bars that burst,-- Love, that filled my brimming cup-- Filled it full of Heavenly wine-- Filled, and blessed, and made it mine! Love, the holy, cleansing fount Where I wash my garments white,-- Love, my Tabor, hallowed mount, Where I stand with Him in sight,-- Love, my watch-tower, till the day Chase all earth-born mists away! - Mrs. J. C. Yule

Be still, and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10 I remember bobbing for apples when I was a kid, a game that requires you to place your hands behind your back. Attempting to grab a floating apple with your teeth without use of either hand, in a tub of water. Which I might add if you??ve never done this, is rather frustrating to say the least. This experience reminds me of the necessity of our hands. We eat with them, greet with them, and use them to do just about everything that is essential in our day-to-day living. When I read Psalm 46:10, I find it rather interesting that God says, ??Be still, and know that I am God.?? The Hebrew word for ??stillto put our hands at our side.?? Well, this seems to be rather risky advice at first glance, since our initial response in times of trouble is to keep our hands firmly on the situation with hopes of somehow controlling its outcome. However, God is saying, ??Hands off! Let me deal with your problem, and rest assured that the outcome is in My hands.?? Our problem is knowing when to take our hands off and let God work can oftentimes make us feel helpless and vulnerable. Unless of course, we truly believe that God is indeed ??our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble?? and that ?? the Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge??. Yes, in the midst of trouble, God is in complete control. So take your hands off, listen for direction for that which you must do, be at peace, and let Him work.

Why we do what we do is crucially important, as it relates to our service to God, working lives, and career. This is why Paul challenged the Ephesians to do their work, ?? not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men.?? We should check our motives in everything that we do. If we do any work or service to merely earn ??pay??, whether for accolades, approval from a supervisor, to outshine a co-laborer, or worse to make others look bad. Yes, one could say the motivation is definitely out-of-place. Its tight; but its right. Ouch! We fall short of the highest motivation-which should be simply to do our best, as pure evidence of our love and devotion to God. Lets all do everything ?? as to the Lord,?? gratefully performing each and every task that He has given us to do. Because in the end, only what we do for Him will be granted reward anyway. ??Not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart.?? Ephesians 6:6

In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.?? John 16:33 So many of us expect that life should always be happy and pain-free. I admit from time to time that I find myself pondering the question, ??Why can??t every day be a good day??? Admit it, wouldn??t that be great? Of course! Well, that isn??t what the Bible teaches. For the believer, this world is a place of highs, lows, living, and learning. The circumstances in life are growing us spiritually, through both the good days and bad. Jesus was being real when He explained what to expect in our lives. He told His disciples, ??In this world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.?? In facing life??s beatings and blessings, we can have the inner peace that God is sovereign, as is orchestrating events according to His divine plan. His presence in our lives is encouragement and enables us to ??be of good cheer?? even in the midst of trials and tribulations. I know, I know, this is a stretch on some days. But we can do it! If you find yourself in the midst of life??s troubles. Look to Jesus. Peace can always be found in Him.

Nobody is greater than Jesus. He has no competition on earth or in the heavens. His kingdom is above all kingdoms and His throne above all thrones. He is creator of all things and by Him everything is held together. Jesus, ??KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.?? Revelation 19:16 ??For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen.?? Romans 11:36 NIV

One thing is certain, when we seek after the Lord we will not and can not be disappointed. The beauty in every promise of God is not only in what we find, but who we find as the result of our seeking Him. "Let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts." Colossians 3:15 NLT
